CMC Rocks QLD: Australian Country Festival Announces 2018 Lineup

We’ve been known to have a soft spot for the Australian music industry and the artists they produce. From Keith Urban to The Lazys, and dozens in between, we’re into it. And now we’ve got something we can totally get behind: The CMC Rocks QLD Country Music Festival 2018 lineup.

You’ve got to see this thing to believe it. We’ve seen some of the biggest acts in the world of country music on stages at Boots & Hearts, the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, and at concerts all over… and Australia is getting a heavy dose of some of the best out there.

Note: It’s especially cool to see Dean Brody, High Valley, and Gord Bamford on this lineup. We know that all three of these Canadian country artists will represent us well.

Boots and Hearts 2017 - Dean Brody

CMC Rocks QLD is scheduled to take place from Thursday, March 15 to Sunday, March 18 about 50 kilometres outside of Brisbane. The Willowbank, Ipswich festival is going to be big if the lineup is any indication. And really, how can it not be.

American headliners Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, and Kelsea Ballerini are all super talented. And with a crop of artists including Brett Young, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, and more taking the stage along with them… we wish we were headed to Australia in March.

Check out the full lineup below, and if you are in Australia, or you want to make this part of your 2018 spring vacation plans – tickets go on sale Monday, October 9th. Click here to learn more.

Boots and Hearts 2017 - Luke Bryan

We love country music festivals. We love this list of artists. We love the idea that country artists from the United States and Canada get to make this trip. And we love that Australian country music fans get to see them alongside their own local favourites!

Cavendish Beach Music Festival 2017 Preview: High Valley Top 10

On Friday night (July 7, 2017) at Cavendish Beach Music Festival, country music fans will see two of Alberta’s favourite sons come to Prince Edward Island, take the stage and make it theirs.

High Valley, perhaps the most successful Canadian country act in the United States right now, will bring their bluegrass inspired songs the beach, and it’s going to be a good time. We’ve had the chance to see Brad and Curtis on a few occasions, including in a festival setting at Boots & Hearts and the Canadian National Exhibition… and we can tell you, with 100% confidence that these boys from the countryside, will put on a show that will entertain the heck out of you.

We also want you to know that you should be prepared to sing and dance throughout the show, and to get you ready for that, we’ve put together our High Valley Top 10.

So, hit play on one or all of these tracks and have a karaoke dance party wherever you are. And if we missed a High Valley song that’s in your Top 10, leave a comment to tell us!

I don’t know about you, but I am extremely excited to have male vocalist of the year & song of the year winner Thomas Rhett as one of the headliners! I am very thrilled to see what he has in store for everyone. We’re also lucky to have critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Brad Paisley who has won numerous awards in his career and is constantly taking over the charts. We also can’t forget about the hilarious Blake Shelton… five-time male vocalist of the year, Grammy nominee and one of my favourite judges on this season of The Voice.

Don’t worry we didn’t forget about the other remarkable artists taking over the stages at this years festival! I am looking forward to experiencing the diversity all these artists will bring; from heart filled songs to heart breaks, celebrating the weekend, grabbing a beer with your friends, and growing up in a small town – this festival will have all of your country needs checked off.

Due to the festival being located in the city, there are no camping accommodations, only hotels. But don’t worry!!! Country Thunder has a list of 19 different hotel partners near the festival site that will suit your budget and requirements. Plus, with your festival passes you are welcome to shuttle back and worth for free. Try not to wait to long to purchase tickets to Calgary’s Country Thunder though, as limited tickets are remaining for the full weekend festival.

Grab you’re cowboy hat, wear your best dancing shoes and get ready to experience everything that Country Thunder has to offer!

CMW 2017: SiriusXM House w/ High Valley, Jess Moskaluke & Madeline Merlo

Saturday night at Canadian Music Week is a big one. Big shows, big crowds, and the unofficial end to a week jam-packed full of music. So it should come as no surprise that the country music show at The Great Hall was busy, loud, and pumping out fantastic music that everyone in the room was into.

The SiriusXM House lineup of Madeline Merlo, Jess Moskaluke, and High Valley brought a heap of hits, energy, and star power to the stage. Canadian country fans know their music, buy their albums, and see them on tour whenever they come through town. So it was no surprise to hear cheers and sing-alongs through the night.

What was an awesome surprise was hearing brand new, unreleased music from both Madeline and Jess. We’ve been lucky, as fans, to hear everything these two women have released to date, and all of their fans are going to be lucky to hear these new songs… because they were good, and a lot of fun.

And while it was no surprise at all, High Valley was awesome. But more on that coming up.

The first on stage, and very clearly ready to put on a show and get the Saturday party started, was Madeline Merlo.

With her energy up, a big smile on her face, and the band ready to go, Madeline started with Honey Jack, which is always a good choice for her. The crowd, full of energy, just as much as Madeline on stage, sang along to the radio hit and set the tone for what was to come.

And what came, was awesome. Brand new music, including Fresh Out and Flamingo Motel, which will be her next radio single, was awesome to hear. The upbeat track is a lot of fun, and got feet moving and heads nodding and people excited for what’s next from the Maple Ridge, BC artist.

We already knew that Madeline was good, Canadian country fans already knew, but the strength in her voice and performance on Saturday night at CMW was as much confirmation as we’d ever hope to see. She killed it and proved that her name belongs in the conversation with any of the top female artists that anyone can think of or name or want to see and hear.

Job well done!

Jess Moskaluke, the 2014, 2015, and 2016 CCMA Female Artist of the Year and 2017 Juno Winner for Country Album of the Year hit the stage in the middle of the show.

Adored by the crowd, and her fans from coast-to-coast, Moskaluke hit the stage and got a full buy in from the Toronto audience at The Great Hall. They loved her. Loved her voice. Loved her band. Loved her energy and willingness to give everything she had in her show.

And her voice… in top shape, and impressing the hell out of everyone, was sweet and powerful and exactly we could have hoped to hear. But the best thing we heard from her was that there will be a new album in 2017.

That’s right, Jess Moskaluke will release a new album, full of new music, in 2017!

To see where Jess is now, from where she started and where she was when we first met and featured her with a Q&A. She’s amazing. She’s talented. And she deserves every single bit of success that finds its way to her.

High fives and hugs.

Brad and Curtis Rempel, the farm boy brothers from Alberta that are High Valley, closed the show and were the main event headliners that we knew they were.

These guys are the real deal, earning a reputation for themselves in the United States the way they have in Canada since we first heard songs like On The Combine and I Will Stand By You.

On stage on Saturday night, High Valley hit the ground running. They were there for the Toronto crowd, and were clearly prepared for a big night. The crowd was prepared too, they were loud (like really loud), and they sang along (like really loud), and it was easy to see that these brothers were loved.

And even early in the set, before they’d had a chance to get to some of their biggest hits, there was an energy spike when they turned County Line into Fishin’ In The Dark, just for a minute.

We’ve seen High Valley a few times over the last few years, and we will continue to see them whenever we have the chance. They are that fun to watch. They are that good on stage. And album by album, they continue to put out music that we can get into – and that country fans in Canada, the United States and beyond can get into as well.

CMW 2017: Joshua’s 3 Don’t Miss Shows ft. The Honest Heart Collective, The Beaches, High Valley

Canadian Music Week 2017 is coming faster than you might be ready for… and that’s freaking exciting. It means there’s a week of music coming that will mix what you know, what you don’t know, what you already love and what you’re going to fall in love with.

And to get you started with your planning, I’ve picked three shows that you shouldn’t miss during CMW 2017!

The Honest Heart Collective – Adelaide Hall

Tuesday, April 18, 2017

The Honest Heart Collective / Texas King / Bad River – all on stage to put on a show… and if the Facebook event is to be believed, The Danger Bees and our Aussie boys, Silver Love Club (formerly Mabel) will be there too!

If there ever was a time to go out and see live music on a Tuesday night, it’s during CMW… and if you’re looking for the show you want to be at – this is the one.

Last year Trish hooked up with The Honest Heart Collective for a CMW preview which was awesome, and we’ve seen Texas King on the Adelaide Hall stage before – add together all of the previous experience and I’m sure that this is a Tuesday night concert that you do not want to miss out on.

Get ready to have some fun and kick off your week.

The Beaches – The Horseshoe Tavern

Friday, April 21, 2017

The Beaches / The Brains / shy kids / The Dead Love

1) Who doesn’t want to hang at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on a Friday night?
2) You should want to see The Beaches be the bad ass women they are on stage during CMW!
3) Aussie rockers, The Dead Love are on the bill – and we certainly don’t want to miss that!

For real, this is going to be a Friday night concert that goes loud and hard and punches you right in the face – in the best way.

We’ve seen and hung out a little bit with The Dead Love, and we can’t wait to do that again. AND we saw The Beaches in all of their GRL BAND glory at the WayHome Xmas party in 2016… and we liked it a lot. Add in some new to us music from The Brains and shy kids and this is going to be a Friday night worth talking about on Saturday morning.

SiriusXM House w/ High Valley – The Great Hall

Saturday, April 22, 2017

High Valley / Madeline Merlo/ Jess Moskaluke

As far as country music shows go, this is going to be a good one! With three Canadian acts lined up to take over The Great Hall stage, we know what we’re going to get. Or at least we think we do.

UPDATE: 3-Time CCMA Female Artist of the Year and 2017 Juno winner for Country Album of the Year, Jess Moskaluke has been added to this show!

We’ve seen all of these performers more than once, and have had the chance to talk to each of them as well. They’re all doing what they love. They’re all good at what they do. And they’re all good to their fans.

There may be a few surprises on this Saturday night full of music… and that’s fine with us. We’ll be ready!

Now… check out some pics of the acts we’ve seen before, and get ready for more this April during Canadian Music Week 2017!

Canadian Music Week 2017 – The Early Preview!

Every year Canadian Music Week takes over Toronto and turns us into the music city we dream about for the rest of the year… and 2017 will be no different with a pile of talented artists – including up-and-comers and headlining legends.

This year CMW comes to town from April 18 to 23 and will feature shows at nearly 40 venues across the city. It’s guaranteed to be a packed schedule that offers challenges to music fans and will force people into difficult decisions and a heavy reliance on Google Maps.

In all honesty, it’s impossible to see everything at CMW. So it’s important that you don’t let yourself fall victim to FOMO. Live 100% in the moment and enjoyment of the shows you are at every single night and you’ll have a good time. We promise.

We know it’s only January, and there’s a lot of time left before the first shows on the 18th of April, but it’s hard not to get excited when you look at the list of performers already locked in and ready to come to town.

Already we can tell you that we’re penciling in Melissa Etheridge on our schedule. She’s a bucket list type artist that you just don’t get to see every day, or every year even… and that makes her show special.

We can also tell you that we’re excited for Saturday, April 22 when High Valley will headline The Great Hall, supported by Madeline Merlo. If you love country, this is going to be the joint you want to be at. We’ve seen all three acts, we know what they all bring to the table, and we can’t wait to see it all come together on one night on one stage.

High Valley CNE 2016 Bandshell

Also announced for this amazing spring week of music are Hollerado, Weaves, Charlotte Day Wilson, Bitch Falcon, hey! dw, Greys, Wild Rivers, Texas King and more. In fact, there are already more than 120 acts listed on the Canadian Music Week website (honestly, click here to see them all).

In past years we’ve had a blast seeing CMW shows featuring JJ Shiplett, MabelKira Isabella, Bleeker, SATE, Tommy Stinson, Daniel Lanois, and even the late Scott Weiland. It’s impossible not to finish Canadian Music Week with new music to listen to and memories that you’re going to hold onto as a music fan for a long, long time.

CMW wristbands are one sale now… and you know how these things go, prices are inclined to increase as we get closer to the festival. So hit up the website now (click here for wristbands) and get one for you and one for a friend. It’s a good thing to do for someone.

And stay tuned for more CMW previews for us as we get closer to the festival, including interviews, and our must-see lists!

Joshua’s Highlights and Top Memories of 2016!

2016 was a long, hard year for many of us. Personally, and in the music industry, we experienced loss and heartbreak – BUT, in the midst of all of that, we also had some great moments and we have to remember that!

So, to celebrate what was good about the year, here are 5 of my best memories and highlights of 2016…

Arkells at WayHome

In July we hit WayHome for year 2 and enjoyed the hell out of the weekend, but the lasting memory of the weekend for me will probably be the Arkells on Saturday.

In the afternoon we sat down in the woods with Max and Mike for a pre-show interview that had a super laid back vibe, was a fun little connection, and gave some insight to the direction that the band has taken on stage and on record in the Morning Report era.

And then (after a quick and awesome braid appointment in the VIP salon) we watched the band hit the WayBold stage – where they proceeded to kick ass and take names. From start to end the energy was hot, the horn section and backup singers were on point and a great addition to the show, and the crowd was on fire. Check the videos from the performance and see Arkells at your very next opportunity. I would live that day again right now if you’d let me.

WayHome - ArkellsWayHome - Arkells

Music Video Debut – Tebey: Old School

We knew that Tebey and his team were shooting for a new video when they were at Boots & Hearts… but I never expected to see myself in the official Old School music video!

At 0:11 and 1:32 you can see my Toronto Raptors hat turned around backwards in the summer heat as I sit with Tebey for our pre-show interview. It was a fun vibe while we were hanging out, and an even cooler surprise when the video premiered and I saw myself on the screen.

Let’s not be confused, this isn’t a starring role, but a cool little moment to remember from the year.

It’s also cool seeing Trish in the pit at 2:02 mark snapping the pics that ended up in our post from the show.

Introducing My Mom To Jess Moskaluke And High Valley

For Christmas 2015 my mom wanted High Valley music. So, I picked up a CD, and in her card I told her that we would try to catch Brad and Curtis the next time they played in the Toronto area.

Just our luck, High Valley and Jess Moskaluke came to the CNE in Toronto just days before my mom’s birthday at the end of August, and we were in the crowd to see the show together. BUT, even cooler for us was the chance to bring my mom backstage during our interviews with both Jess and High Valley.

I owe so many thanks to everyone for being so kind and gracious with their time before the show, and for being so sweet to my mom. I was a really cool night, and a memory that I’m happy to have.

High Valley CNE 2016 Bandshell

Garth Brooks In Hamilton, ON

Near the end of March we drove to Hamilton, ON to see the man, the legend, and the reason there’s a website I’m posting on right now… Garth Brooks.

We didn’t have press passes, Trish wasn’t in the photo pit, I had three browser tabs open while I tried to buy tickets to the show – and it was all worth it. We sat in the crowd, packed in with Garth fans that were eagerly awaiting the show. And not a single one of us was disappointed.

Garth Freaking Brooks was freaking awesome!

Hit after hit blasted from the stage, and Mr. Brooks showed us all that he’s still got it. He is still the man at the top of the mountain, and everyone else is tasked with building their career to get as close as possible to what this man has done in the last 25+ years.

Canadian Country Music Week & The CCMA Awards

For the first time we hit Canadian Country Music Week and the Canadian Country Music Awards in London, ON… and it was awesome!

The days were a blur of amazing people, parties, performances, interviews and a little bit of sleep. We got to talk to a heap of artists. We got to reconnect with friendly faces. We had the chance to make new friends. And all of it was against the backdrop of the biggest weekend of the year.

On awards night we had an amazing opportunity to take in all of the action. Trish and I both got to hang out at the green carpet to see everyone make their entrance. And during the show Trish was inside with her camera and I was in the media tent with the chance to see the CCMA winners just moments after their big moments on stage.

It was awesome, and we both hope we get to experience that again.

Every Week’s Got A Friday: High Valley at the CNE 2016

They’ve come a long way from home up in La Crete, Alberta… and the way things are going, it looks like High Valley have a lot further to go before things are all said and done.

On Sunday night we headed out to the CNE in Toronto to catch up with Brad and Curtis and check out their set, which closed out three nights in a row of country music in the city. The last time we caught up with the boys was at Boots & Hearts 2015, so there was a bunch to find out, in our few minutes before Jess Moskaluke hopped up on stage to kick-off the night.

Note: It’s amazing how great the members of the Canadian country music community are, it really is. On Sunday we were able to bring my mom to the show as a birthday present, and High Valley were awesome when she had a chance to say hello at the start of our interview. Class acts, as we expected, and as she’ll always remember.

High Valley CNE 2016 Bandshell

It turns out Sunday was a long day for High Valley. In fact, it started in Wisconsin, and the bus rolled all the way to T.O. in time for the boys to get themselves ready for a Canadian crowd in the middle of a busy summer. If you’ve been following Brad and Curtis’s adventures via social media you know that they’ve had shows on stages all over the place in the last 12 months, playing to new cities and new crowds along the way.

We asked them about some highlights, and they told us that Boston was pretty cool with about 7,000 strong singing Make You Mine back at them at the tops of their lungs. But it was London (yes, the big London) that blew them away when the entire crowd seemed to know the words to every song they played. They knew the Canadian radio hits, they knew the b-sides, they knew the acoustic YouTube stuff… as a non-traditional country market, that’s pretty awesome.

High Valley CNE 2016 BandshellWe haven’t been able to ask them how the CNE crowd compared to London from a sing along standpoint, we can tell you that a whole lot of people were out having a good time on a Sunday night. There were rows of people crowded in at the front of the stage to dance along, there were rows and rows and rows of people in the bench seats (sitting for a while, then standing with the rest of us) and all of them were clapping and moving, and yes, singing.

On stage the Rempel brothers gave us all the energy we could have hoped for, some laughs, some faith, some chances to get loud – and all the songs we love from the band… except maybe On The Combine, we missed that one. Throughout the show they moved and joked and told stories about family and songs, giving us the things that we love about country shows.

We know the guys didn’t have their families with them on the trip, so we asked about being able to balance the road and home (Nashville), and they told us that they work really hard to make it fit for them. Whether that means going home for a day or two, or bringing their families out on the road with them for a few days at a time to make sure everyone gets together time. They don’t want their kids to feel like they were raised on a bus, and we get that, but it sure does sound like it’s tough to be away, and that they’re doing everything they can to put it all together.

High Valley CNE 2016 BandshellAnd lastly, and maybe most importantly, we asked about the new album coming later this year! Brad and Curtis both seem to be really excited about this one, and there’s reason to be for sure. The November release will be their biggest, with a full international release on the same day, giving fans all over the world access to the tunes at the same time for the first time. The record also starts their recording and release career with Warner Music Nashville, which is a huge step for two brothers who started things with a 4,000km trip from La Crete to Nashville.

Check out the brand new single from their upcoming release, Every Week’s Got A Friday (call your local country station to request it) and stay tuned for more from the Rempel brothers soon!

2016 Canadian National Exhibition CNE Bandshell Concert Schedule

Updated with new acts added since original publishing date (June 21, 2016)

Yes, we know that Toronto is still waiting for Spring to really start (enough with the cold and the snow already), and we know that the CNE signals the end of Summer every year… and we’re not trying to get ahead of ourselves or anything, but we just couldn’t resist sharing this news.

CNE 2013 day 4 ferris wheel night-6580The Canadian National Exhibition has released 30 acts for 16 dates on the legendary bandshell stage in 2016… and we know there are more names, and maybe more dates to come.

As always, the CNE will feature a healthy mix of established acts, vintage returns, and young talent – all in town to entertain the crowd and enjoy the fair atmosphere in the city. Acts like Randy Bachman and Alan Frew will excite rock and roll fans of the past, and we guarantee that Juno nominated Scott Helman is going to draw a young crowd that will include some screaming teenage fans.

We’re also excited to see back-to-back-to-back country days on the schedule with George Canyon, Dean Brody, High Valley, and Jess Moskaluke already announced for a Friday through Sunday, weekend run. The question now needs to focus on the openers for Canyon on Friday and Brody on Saturday… we dont’ have any info at all, but we wouldn’t be surprised to have a River Town Saints sighting on one of those nights.

After looking at the calendar there seem to be more dates to be added, but for now we can tell you about these 10… mark them on your calendar!

Big Valley Jamboree 2016 Lineup Announcement!

We talk an awful lot about how proud we are to see country music making an impact in Ontario… but let’s not forget just how HUGE county has been in Alberta for a long, long time!

Part of that country music tradition is the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta for more than 20 freaking years. It’s an impressive stretch that has seen some of the biggest and best in country music make the trip out to entertain fans over a full weekend every summer.

Lindsay Broughton at Liuna Station Gibson at the Junos 2015This morning the good folks at BVJ announced new additions to the 2016 lineup, spreading out 7 new acts over the 4 festival days. We can only imagine how happy Doc Walker, The Doll Sisters, Lindsay Broughton, Clare Bowen & Charles Esten (ABC’s Nashville), Alee, Lindi Ortega, and The Dead South.

You add those names to headliners Randy Houser, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood – and impressive lineup to say the least, and it makes us wish we were taking a road trip west this summer. Heck, maybe we will.

Here’s a look at the BVJ lineup so far (more names are coming!) on March 15, 2016.

Country Music All-Star Hockey Fantasy Draft

With the NHL All-Star Game coming up in Nashville on January 31, we decided to have a little fun with some hockey loving country music stars and hold a fantasy draft of our own.

2016 NHL All Star Game LogoThere are 14 players on the board, 12 skaters and 2 goalies… all picked because of their experience on the ice and/or love of the game.

There are a couple rules… and then we’ll get to the draft!

How It Works…

1. Trish and I will take turns making our picks from the list of country artists below until we each have a team of 7 players.

2. Each team must consist of 1 goalie and 1 woman skater.

3. All other players are up for grabs in any order.

4. Jason & Tom Petric and Brad & Curtis Rempel may be picked individually or as a combo, but if drafted as a pair the next drafter’s turn will have 2 picks to even things up.

The Players

Alan Doyle (Juno Cup goalie)
Brett Kissel (Family Tournament goalie, 2015)
Carrie Underwood (wife of NHL player Mike Fisher, Predators fan)
Jess Moskaluke (Floor Hockey Experience on tour with Chad Brownlee)
Chad Brownlee (former Vancouver Canucks Draft Pick)
Theo Fleury(Former NHL player)
 Cory Marquardt (Former Junior player)
Bobby Wills (floor hockey experience on tour with Chad Brownlee)
 Tom Petric (High School player)
Jason Petric (High School player)
Brad Rempel (Juno Cup player)
Curtis Rempel (Juno Cup player)
Jim Cuddy (Juno Cup captain)
Dierks Bentley (Nashville Rec. League player)

Trish won a coin toss, so she’s got the 1st pick… here we go!

Round 1

Chad Brownlee Boots and Hearts 2015Trish: Chad Brownlee
Not a big surprise to my readers that Chad was my first choice. I watched him work his magic at The Mod Club and I have faith. His NHL career was cut short by injury but I think. at 6’2” in this field, he’s my star defenceman.

Josh: Theo Fleury
Theo Fleury spent a bunch years playing NHL hockey, played in 7 All-Star games, and won a gold medal with Team Canada in 2002… and he’s got a country album that he released in fall 2015. I’m happy with this pick!

Round 2

dierks-bentley-at-boots-and-hearts-2013Trish: Dierks Bentley
Dierks’ spends his spare time playing with the Nashville IceHoles and from what I’ve heard, he can’t get enough hockey. He carries his hockey gear with him while on tour just in case he can get in some ice time. That’s the kind of dedication I want on my team!

Josh: Cory Marquardt
The former junior player has a lot of high energy, and I’m betting his hands are just soft enough on the ice to make some plays.

Round 3

Brett Kissel CNE 2015Trish: Tom Petric
I’ll be counting on Tom as a forward and I’m thinking I’ll put him on a line with his brother.

Josh: Brett Kissel
Brett’s a big hockey fan who strapped on the pads last Christmas to play back home. We’re playing 3 on 3, so I’m not hoping for miracles here, just someone to stop some pucks.

Round 4

Petric 2015Trish: Jason Petric (picked in combo with Tom)
Jason may have spent a little time in the penalty box  during his hockey career. I’m happy to have him as muscle on my team.

Josh: Jim Cuddy
Cuddy’s a vet who knows what he’s doing on the ice. I need a captain, and his experience being the man in charge at the Juno Cup works for me!

Round 5

Jess Moskaluke Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixTrish: Carrie Underwood
Married to Mike Fisher, Carrie knows hockey. Can she shoot and skate? I hope she’s been practicing since the Oprah video in 2012. She brings a great energy and I’m glad to have her.

Josh: Jess Moskaluke
Jess is a sweetheart, but we’ve seen her amp up the energy on stage, and she spent the When The Lights Go Down tour with a floor hockey stick in her hands. Sign her up!

Round 6

High Valley Boots and Hearts 2015Trish: Curtis Rempel
Curtis grew up playing hockey and with a Juno Cup under his belt I’m sure he’ll be an asset to my team.

Josh: Brad Rempel
I’ll take the other half of High Valley, if nothing else we should create a little healthy rivalry between the brothers Rempel!

Round 7

Bobby Wills When The Lights Go Down Toronto-8020Trish: Alan Doyle
The most mature member of my team, and a lifetime lover of the game, Alan’s proven his worth in the net.

Josh: Bobby Wills
Bobby is another When The Lights Go Down alumni, and I’ll take him to skate with Jess, there’s got to be some chemistry there!

Lines

Trish
1: Chad Brownlee, Tom Petric, Jason Petric
2: Dierks Bentley, Curtis Rempel, Carrie Underwood
Goalie: Alan Doyle

Josh
1: Theo Fleury, Cory Marquardt, Brad Rempel
2: Jess Moskaluke, Bobby Wills, Jim Cuddy
Goalie: Brett Kissel

Results and Evaluation!

Trish: I’m happy with my picks and can’t help but think how awesome their team photo would look. Now if only we could make this game happen!

Josh: Trish has a great team, but I’m pretty happy with my 7 players… and I’d be happy to send ‘em out on the ice for a Country Music All-Star Hockey game any day of the week!

Now tell us whose team you think would win by voting in the poll!
