Country Music’s Sexiest Men, 2017

The internet is buzzing with rumours that Blake Shelton will be named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2017.

We aren’t here to tell you that they made the wrong choice, but we are here to put a spotlight on some of the other sexy men in country music.

In the last couple of years we’ve had the chance to see these men perform on stage, and as great as they are with the microphone in their hands, they elicit a whole lot of cheers for their look up there on stage.

Have a look at our list and pics of Blake Shelton and our 10 more sexy country music men, and leave a comment to tell us who you think is tops OR who you think we missed.

Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton-Country Thunder 2017 Blake Shelton is one of the biggest stars in the world today. Between his regular appearances at the top of the country music charts and his seat in the spinning chair on The Voice, he’s everywhere. And as the 41 year old Oklahoman adds more salt and pepper to his look, the sexier he seems to get.

Luke Bryan

Boots and Hearts 2017 - Luke Bryan What do we need to say to share the point that Luke Bryan is sexy?! The dude has women pawing at him so much he’s had to make rules about it. When he rotates his hips, it turns into gifs. This Georgia daddy has got to be on every ‘sexy men in country music’ list.

Brett Eldredge

Boots and Hearts 2017 - Brett Eldredge Boots and Hearts 2017 - Brett EldredgeThis rising star is smooth as silk and dapper as hell. Whether he’s on stage with a couple buttons undone, or he’s in a tux on the way to an awards show, he shines. The eyes, the smile, the voice, and the laugh… they add up for Brett Eldredge.

Dallas Smith

Dallas Smith CNE 2015Dallas Smith-Country Thunder 2017This Canadian country music rockstar has it all going for him. Give him some ripped jeans, roll up the sleeves to see the ink, and give him a little stubble of a beard if you’re into that sort of thing. Dallas Smith is legit.

Dylan Scott

Mark Wystrach

If you didn’t already know, you could probably also guess that he’s had a career as a model. He’s chiseled and has the look and we could probably forgive him if he had a Drinkin’ Problem.

Chad Brownlee

Chad Brownlee - CNE 2017 Boots and Hearts 2017 - Chad BrownleeAnother good Canadian boy, this hockey player turned country star has it in spades. Chad Brownlee knows how to work the stage, the ladies scream for him every time we see him, and when he sings sweetly, it’s everything you dream about.

Chris Lane

Bless My Heart: Vanessa Marie Carter at Boots & Hearts 2017

2016 Boots & Hearts, Emerging Artist Showcase winner, Vanessa Marie Carter hit the main stage on Thursday as part of the Coors Banquet Kick Off Party – and reminded thousands of country music fans why she took home that title, and what she brings to a party.

VMC rolled through a 10 song set on the big stage that she first got a taste of last summer, giving fans something to dance, sing, and cheer about. Covers of Shania’s Honey I’m Home, Cam’s Untamed, and Carrie Underwood’s Smoke Break all showed off her voice and brought the fans into sing along and dance break moods. While originals Criminal (a duet written with Chad Brownlee, and performed at B&H 2017 with Al Rowe), Everything Fades, and her upcoming single, Bless My Heart gave evidence to the growth, potential, and talent that Vanessa Marie Carter carries with her right now.

Boots and Hearts 2017 - Vanessa Marie Carter

Note: One of our favourite moments came when Vanessa Marie covered Sam Hunt’s House Party. It may have taken just a second for everyone to get into it – but that song is a jam, and it was a good time hearing a female lead spin on it!

From start to finish, the sound on stage was tight, with the band pulling their weight and then some. And to see Vanessa Marie working the crowd, walking the catwalk, and looking strong and comfortable on the stage was fantastic. The work that she has put in over the last year to move forward in her career is clearly visible – and it’s paying off.

This is an artist on the rise, one to watch, and a woman that we are sure we’ll see again on the Boots & Hearts stage.

Joshua’s Highlights and Top Memories of 2016!

2016 was a long, hard year for many of us. Personally, and in the music industry, we experienced loss and heartbreak – BUT, in the midst of all of that, we also had some great moments and we have to remember that!

So, to celebrate what was good about the year, here are 5 of my best memories and highlights of 2016…

Arkells at WayHome

In July we hit WayHome for year 2 and enjoyed the hell out of the weekend, but the lasting memory of the weekend for me will probably be the Arkells on Saturday.

In the afternoon we sat down in the woods with Max and Mike for a pre-show interview that had a super laid back vibe, was a fun little connection, and gave some insight to the direction that the band has taken on stage and on record in the Morning Report era.

And then (after a quick and awesome braid appointment in the VIP salon) we watched the band hit the WayBold stage – where they proceeded to kick ass and take names. From start to end the energy was hot, the horn section and backup singers were on point and a great addition to the show, and the crowd was on fire. Check the videos from the performance and see Arkells at your very next opportunity. I would live that day again right now if you’d let me.

Music Video Debut – Tebey: Old School

We knew that Tebey and his team were shooting for a new video when they were at Boots & Hearts… but I never expected to see myself in the official Old School music video!

At 0:11 and 1:32 you can see my Toronto Raptors hat turned around backwards in the summer heat as I sit with Tebey for our pre-show interview. It was a fun vibe while we were hanging out, and an even cooler surprise when the video premiered and I saw myself on the screen.

Let’s not be confused, this isn’t a starring role, but a cool little moment to remember from the year.

It’s also cool seeing Trish in the pit at 2:02 mark snapping the pics that ended up in our post from the show.

Introducing My Mom To Jess Moskaluke And High Valley

For Christmas 2015 my mom wanted High Valley music. So, I picked up a CD, and in her card I told her that we would try to catch Brad and Curtis the next time they played in the Toronto area.

Just our luck, High Valley and Jess Moskaluke came to the CNE in Toronto just days before my mom’s birthday at the end of August, and we were in the crowd to see the show together. BUT, even cooler for us was the chance to bring my mom backstage during our interviews with both Jess and High Valley.

I owe so many thanks to everyone for being so kind and gracious with their time before the show, and for being so sweet to my mom. I was a really cool night, and a memory that I’m happy to have.

Garth Brooks In Hamilton, ON

Near the end of March we drove to Hamilton, ON to see the man, the legend, and the reason there’s a website I’m posting on right now… Garth Brooks.

We didn’t have press passes, Trish wasn’t in the photo pit, I had three browser tabs open while I tried to buy tickets to the show – and it was all worth it. We sat in the crowd, packed in with Garth fans that were eagerly awaiting the show. And not a single one of us was disappointed.

Garth Freaking Brooks was freaking awesome!

Hit after hit blasted from the stage, and Mr. Brooks showed us all that he’s still got it. He is still the man at the top of the mountain, and everyone else is tasked with building their career to get as close as possible to what this man has done in the last 25+ years.

Canadian Country Music Week & The CCMA Awards

For the first time we hit Canadian Country Music Week and the Canadian Country Music Awards in London, ON… and it was awesome!

The days were a blur of amazing people, parties, performances, interviews and a little bit of sleep. We got to talk to a heap of artists. We got to reconnect with friendly faces. We had the chance to make new friends. And all of it was against the backdrop of the biggest weekend of the year.

On awards night we had an amazing opportunity to take in all of the action. Trish and I both got to hang out at the green carpet to see everyone make their entrance. And during the show Trish was inside with her camera and I was in the media tent with the chance to see the CCMA winners just moments after their big moments on stage.

It was awesome, and we both hope we get to experience that again.

Take Your Time: Sam Hunt at Boots & Hearts 2016!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 years since we first saw Sam Hunt on stage for the first time at Boots & Hearts… and now we’ve seen him again. But this time the Georgia boy was all over the main stage as the direct lead-in to headliner Dierks Bentley on Friday night.

As the minutes ticked by and we got closer to Sam’s set you could see the people coming over the hill and towards the stage in waves, and they didn’t stop until they were as close to the stage as they could get and the band come on stage to start off the show with Leave The Night On. And when Sam started singing – they all started singing with him!

One look out into the crowd showed hands up, phones up, and girls up in the air. And even though the sun was setting and the temperature was finally dropping, it was hot hot hot the entire time Sam Hunt and his band were up on that main stage.

Sam Hunt-3850

During the set, as the cheering and singing and dancing continued, Sam Hunt made a point to give some love and thanks to the fans at B&H for supporting him since that 1st set in 2014 and at all of the Canadian shows he’s played since then.

Sam Hunt-3811He also gave back every single bit of energy the crowd was feeding him. The dude ran and jumped back and forth from the stage to the catwalk and looked like he was having the time of his life while making use of every piece of stage he could get his feet on. It truly looked like Sam and the band were having a lot of fun in Oro-Medonte with a few (30,000+) of their fans and friends watching them do their thing.

Since summer 2014 we’ve been all in on Sam Hunt (you can check the archives) and we’re not stopping now. With any luck we’ll have new music from the former QB in the next year and then have the chance to see him again with new songs to sing along to.
Check out the set list and more pics of Sam Hunt now…

Top 5 Boots & Hearts 2016 Karaoke Songs!

It’s no secret that I love to sing karaoke with my friends and whatever strangers show up at the bar. It’s also no secret that I have a soft spot for country music karaoke… I’ve sung a lot of it over the years. So, I thought I’d share my pics for the Top 5 karaoke songs by Boots & Hearts 2016 artists.

Ready? Let’s go!

Tim McGraw – Live Like You Were Dying

I’ve sung a lot of Tim McGraw at karaoke over the last 15 years or so… but this really wasn’t a difficult choice to make. Live Like You Were Dying is a huge song full of emotion – and if you can hold that note at the end of the song (you know the one) then you can go back to your chair and your beer feeling like you’ve done it some justice!

Blake Shelton – Playboys Of The Southwestern World

There are some great Blake Shelton songs out there to sing, but this one has a special place in my heart. One of my best friend in Ottawa and I used to take turns singing this song and dedicating it to each other. I won’t tell you why, but it always made us smile. If you know it, sing along!

Dierks Bentley – What Was I Thinkin’

Yes, this song came out 2003… but it’s still my go to Dierks song when I’m in the mood. There’s just something about the energy and story and a little white tank top that makes me want to hold a beer in one hand and the microphone in the other. Also, on some level we can all relate to what Dierks is going through in this song!

Sam Hunt – Take Your Time

It’s new, and it’s not traditional, and I love it. When I first sang Take Your Time at karaoke there were only 3 people in the bar that knew the song… including me. But now that Sam has a little more love outside of the country radio community there are more and more heads nodding and people singing along to the parts they know!

Cam – Burning House

Now, I need to admit that I haven’t sung this at karaoke yet, but I really really really want to. Burning House is a huge song that drips with emotion and I sing it in the shower all the time. Now I just need to find the right mood and the right crowd to bust it out when my turn comes up at my local karaoke show!

Bonus: Diamond Rio – Meet In The Middle

I am so excited for Diamond Rio to come to Boots & Hearts 2016 that I couldn’t help but find a way to include them in this post. I grew up listening to Meet In The Middle on Country 105 in Peterborough, and I have taken a turn to sing it at karaoke before. It’s a sweet song and it’s a modern classic as far as I’m concerned!

Now I want to know what your go to country karaoke songs are – leave a comment here or on Facebook to tell me – and maybe I’ll try them too!

Boots & Hearts 2016 Preview: Jake Owen Top 5

If you asked us if we’re excited about Jake Owen coming to Boots & Hearts 2016 it would be nearly impossible for us to say no. And if we did, we’d be lying.

Jake has been on our list of dudes we love in country for a while. From Yee Haw in 2006 to American Country Love Song in 2016, it’s been a good decade for barefoot Jake… from long hair to short, blue jeans to board shorts, this lovin’, beachin’, good timin’ Florida boy has more to give as he crosses the 35 years old mark, and we’ll be here to listen.

Now, to get us all ready for Jake Owen’s headlining performance on Thursday, August 4th at Boots & Hearts 2016, we’ve got our 5 favourite tracks from his library + a bonus track featuring Jake and 6 of his most talented friends.

Have a look and leave a comment telling us what Jake Owen favourites we left off the list that you wish were here… and stay tuned because more great Boots & Hearts coverage is coming – and we might even have another contest or 2 up our sleeves 😉

Jake Owen Top 5!

What’s not to love about this song?! Number 1 on the charts, and in our hearts, Jake Owen can take us beachin’ any time… including the Coors Banquet Kick Off Party at Boots & Hearts 2016!

Barefoot Blue Jean Night

Another one of our favourites, this song is just a lot of fun. Good old fashioned fun. And that’s good enough for us. Plus, it also went #1, so you know that we aren’t the only ones who love it. Get ready to sing along!

Note: We do not recommend being barefoot too much at Boots & Hearts… better safe than sorry!

Anywhere With You

This is a sweet song, the kind that makes you want to have someone to follow anywhere… West Virginia, baby I don’t care.

Also, it’s proof that Jake Owen doesn’t need to sing a beach themed party song to make us happy.

Don’t Think I Can’t Love You

Another romantic reminder from Jake that he’s not just a barefoot beach bum… Don’t Think I Can’t Love You is a favourite – and we’re not ashamed to say it. We love love songs. And while this isn’t a traditional ballad, it works, and it’s relatable, and that might be the most Jake-like thing about it… it’s real.

Real Life

It’s short hair Jake!

The lead single from the upcoming (still untitled as far as we know) album has a decidedly Jake Owen feel to it, and that’s probably why we like it so much. There’s also a little Sam Hunt talky/singy action, which doesn’t bother us one bit, because he pulls it off just fine.

If the rest of the record is as good as this (and American Country Love Song) we should all be satisfied.

BONUS: Life In A Northern Town w/ Sugarland and Little Big Town

There’s not much more to say about this than we LOVE it. The harmonies put together by these 7 ridiculously talented people are something like heaven. There’s a reason we love choir music… and this is pretty darn close to that.

Big Valley Jamboree 2016 Lineup Announcement!

We talk an awful lot about how proud we are to see country music making an impact in Ontario… but let’s not forget just how HUGE county has been in Alberta for a long, long time!

Part of that country music tradition is the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta for more than 20 freaking years. It’s an impressive stretch that has seen some of the biggest and best in country music make the trip out to entertain fans over a full weekend every summer.

Lindsay Broughton at Liuna Station Gibson at the Junos 2015This morning the good folks at BVJ announced new additions to the 2016 lineup, spreading out 7 new acts over the 4 festival days. We can only imagine how happy Doc Walker, The Doll Sisters, Lindsay Broughton, Clare Bowen & Charles Esten (ABC’s Nashville), Alee, Lindi Ortega, and The Dead South.

You add those names to headliners Randy Houser, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood – and impressive lineup to say the least, and it makes us wish we were taking a road trip west this summer. Heck, maybe we will.

Here’s a look at the BVJ lineup so far (more names are coming!) on March 15, 2016.

2015 Breakout Country Artists of the Year!

2015 was a fun year for country music.

Established radio stars kept pumping out the hits with Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, and Sam Hunt owning the #1 spot on the Billboard’s 2015 Hot Country Chart most of the year, plus Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, and Carrie Underwood all releasing new albums that fans loved – but they weren’t the only ones being noticed out of Nashville… or Canada.

This year I’ve got 4 acts to name in my country breakout artists of the year, and it was NOT easy to pick them.

Note: As recently as October I had no idea who was going to be on this list. I talked with some friends who love country and between us there was no real consensus pick… and then the last 3 months of the year happened.

Let’s start in Canada where I have a tie marked down as the Canadian Country Music Breakout Artists of the year…

Cold Creek County

Cold Creek County CNE 2015The boys of Cold Creek County found the Top 20 twice in the year, and their debut single, Our Town went as high as number 7 and really introduced the group to country music fans in Canada.

We had a chance to see the boys twice in the year, first at Ajax Downs’ Steak Stock in July, and again when they opened for Dallas Smith at the CNE in September. Both times they put on a hell of a set and truly showed that they are ready to be part of the new wave of Canadian country music talent coming through the ranks.

Congrats to Cold Creek County on their big year, we won’t be surprised if 2016 is just as impressive and successful.

Madeline Merlo

Madeline Merlot Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixMiss Madeline Merlo had an impressive year of her own with a successful summer single in Honey Jack, and the Canadian Country Music Association Award for Rising Star of the Year.

We got to sit down with the BC born songstress in December and then watched her hop up on stage to open for 2014 Canadian breakout artist, Jess Moskaluke.

Madeline held her own that night, and is super ready to drop her album in the spring of 2016 so more country fans can hear what she has to share. 2015 seems to be just the start of what Madeline Merlo has coming in country… stick around to see what’s coming.

And in the United States, making waves in Country in 2015 we have 2 winners. 1 male and 1 female… each putting themselves on the map this year, and each deserving of being named as top breakout artists.

Chris Stapleton

Already known by many as Nashville’s favourite singer, Chris Stapleton really broke out in 2015 when he cleaned up at the Country Music Association Awards in November.

After performing with Justin Timberlake in the best live TV performance of the year, Stapleton cemented his night with wins for New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year.

He’s a super talented, humble, hard working man, who has more success coming to him, and as breakout artist of the year, he’s nearly beyond compare.

If you still haven’t listened to Traveller yet, you’re missing out – it took a lot of year for him to get here, but Chris Stapleton has arrived, and it was worth the wait.

What a year it was for the lady who loves yellow!

Cam scored a monster hit with Burning House, and her year only got bigger from there. The December 11 release of her full length album, Untamed, came late in the year, but not too late to be celebrated by many as one of the top albums of 2015.

2015 was a breakout year for Cam, and as she leads in to 2016, things are looking bright and bold for the singer. We know we’re not alone in anticipating her appearance at Boots & Hearts in August!

Congrats to Cam on a big 2015!

Honourable mention needs to go out to Cory Marquardt, Livy Jeanne, Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Benoit, River Town Saints, Old Dominion, Dylan Scott, Mickey Guyton, A Thousand Horses and more…

We can’t wait to see who breaks out from the pack in 2016!

Bright Lights, Big Country: Jess Moskaluke, Madeline Merlo, The Lovelocks & Friends in Toronto

On a Thursday night, at the start of the Holiday Season, country music fans from across the GTA packed The Phoenix Concert Theatre for a busy night of music from new artists, radio favourites, and free pizza.

The Bright Lights, Big Country show (hosted by KX96, KX94.7 & Pizza Nova) brought 7 artists to the stage, including 2015 CCMA Rising Star, Madeline Merlo and 2014 & 2015 CCMA Female Artist of the Year, Jess Moskaluke – and from 8 to 11:30 the place was in a constant state of happy as fans sang and clapped and danced along to the songs coming from the speakers.

Note: We sat down with Madeline Merlo pre-show to talk about 2015 highlights, plans for 2016, Christmas, whiskey, and more. Check it out HERE!

Eric Ethridge Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixThe Bright Lights, Big Country show did a great job of keeping the action hot on stage by bringing up 3 emerging artists for showcase opportunities. Eric Ethridge, Dani Strong, and Sykamore all hopped up to sing one song each for the crowd, and none of them disappointed.

Keep any eye on Eric Ethridge in 2016, this dude has got the sound and energy and look to end up on more stages and more venues, and in front of more people as he continues to make a name for himself. And here’s a little shoutout to Travis Wood and Gavin Slate for writing the song that Eric sang on Thursday night, Lips Don’t Lie. Keep an ear out for that one.

The night of country was kicked actually kicked off with a little acoustic fun from another rising star, Jesse Labelle.

Labelle came out to greet the crowd, guitar in hand, and did a great job of warming up the crowd. Why Wouldn’t We and Heartbreak Coverup for feet moving and smiles on faces… and then the big pop came when Jesse invited an old friend up on stage to turn up the heat.

Mike Robins (one half of Autumn Hill, who had a HUGE 2015) added his voice and guitar and screaming fans to the mix, and together with Labelle, belted out Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’ and Keith Urban’s Somebody Like You. It was a treat for the fans, and it certainly looked like the boys enjoyed it too.

After Mike left, Jesse finished things off with Some Kind Of Good. A pretty apt description of his set.

Also with a full band set, playing a hometown show, and doing a great job of it, were The Lovelocks.

Ali and Zoe have been hard at work making new music, playing shows all over the place, and sending out Christmas cards to supporters over the last little while, so it was extra nice to get a hello and hug backstage before the show… but the real treat, as always, came when they took the stage.

With a nice selection of songs we’ve heard the girls sing before, including I Do Not, Dance, and Born To Love PLUS a cover of Joni Mitchell’s River, we got songs we could sing along to and a little taste of Christmas.

We can’t wait for the new music coming from The Lovelocks in 2016, and for more live shows to enjoy.

Madeline Merlot Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixNext in the feature spotlight was 2015 CCMA Rising Star, and overall sweetheart, Madeline Merlo.

Madeline took the stage with her band and got a nice pop from the country fans in attendance, which must have made an impact because it didn’t take long for her to look out and say, “Wow, there’s a lot of people here!”.

Madeline mixed her songs with a little cover action to put on a fun little set at The Phoenix. Originals including I’m Alive, Sinking Like A Stone, and Honey Jack, paired well with a taste of Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind and a funky mash-up of Miley’s We Can’t Stop and Sam Hunt’s House Party.

There are bigger stages coming for Madeline, and a new record in spring 2016 is going to give her more fuel for the fire, and the crowd more to sing along to.

Jess Moskaluke Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixLast, but 100% certainly not least, was the Bright Lights, Big Country headliner, back-to-back CCMA Female Artist of the Year, Gold Certified, sweetheart of a person, Jess Moskaluke!

It was easy to see that this was what the crowd had been waiting for when the noise level and energy in the room found new heights as Jess grabbed her microphone. And she didn’t waste any time getting in gear and rewarding them for waiting for her turn.

We’ve seen Jess a few times, on stage and off, over the last couple years, and we can tell you that she is getting better and better and better each and every time. The power in her voice rings through the speakers and right to your music loving ears, her energy reflects that of the crowd, giving it back and not just taking what she’s being given, and she looks happy to be doing what she’s doing.

Jess Moskaluke Bright Lights Big City Toronto The PhoenixThursday night was Jess Moskaluke’s first headlining show in Toronto, and much of the MDM Recordings family was there to see it. It was a celebration of success and love for a woman who is leading the way for a new generation of female singers in Canadian country. It’s pretty safe to say that they’re all pretty proud of her – and it won’t be the last time she anchors a concert in the GTA.

Before we get to the set list we have to tell you the little secret Jess told us all… the new single, coming in the not too distant future, will be Elevator, which is an awesome choice from the Kiss Me Quiet EP. AND to close out the show, during the encore of Cheap Wine & Cigarettes, Ms. Moskaluke got an assist from labelmate and crowd favourite, Chad Brownlee. It was a great way to end a great night of country music in Toronto.

5 Reasons Boots & Hearts Tickets Make A Great Christmas Present

We were talking with our friends at Boots & Hearts this week, and while we’re working on some very exciting things for 2016 (stay tuned) we also talked about how cool it would be to get tickets to the festival as a present.

Note: There’s a big contest coming in 2016, but there’s also a special contest right now! Check out Bonus 2 at the bottom of this post to find out how you can win some sweet Boots  & Hearts swag for the holidays!

I mean, that would be huge. Because it would be such a big deal, and because we love lists… we’re breaking down the top 5 reasons Boots and Hearts 2016 tickets make the best present this Christmas.

1) The Lineup

Blake Shelton On Stage Boots and Hearts 2014This one is easy. Have you seen the list of names coming to Burl’s Creek in 2016?
❤️ Blake Shelton
❤️ Tim McGraw
❤️ Dierks Bentley
❤️ Cam
❤️ Sam Hunt
❤️ Chase Rice
❤️ Tim Hicks
❤️ Emerson Drive
❤️ Jason Blaine
❤️ Autumn Hill
❤️  Cory Marquardt
❤️  Jason Benoit
❤️  Jojo Mason… more, more, more.

We’re going to get 3 days and 4 nights of awesome music on the B&H stages, just like we get every year. And if you know a country music fan, they’re going to want to be there to see it.

2) The Venue

Boots and Hearts Burls Creek Sunset 2015Last year was our first at Burl’s Creek for the festival, and it was gorgeous. There’s so much grass and space and opportunity to lounge on a hill, or get right up to the stage, or even lay down in the afternoon sun and relax/nap off your hangover.

Last year 40,000 people attended Boots & Hearts, in 2016 we’re probably going to be looking at 45,000… and there’s room for everyone!

Note: If you are attending B&H in 2016, use the garbage cans. The days are long, and if you start dropping trash on the ground at noon it’s really in the way by the time the headliners are off the stage at 11.

3) The Fans

boots-and-hearts-2013-crowd-oh-canada45,000… that’s a big number. But after being present for all of Boots & Hearts 2015, and seeing the names that have been added to the 2016 festival already, we have no doubt that we’re going to get there.

That means 45,000 people singing and dancing and smiling and enjoying the hell out of a Thursday to Sunday experience.

It also means a boat load of people at the gates and near the stages and in the campgrounds, so we need y’all to be good to each other. Take care of your bro who drinks a little too much, give your best friend some water when she’s been out in the sun for hours, respect everyone and their property and we can all have the best weekend of the year.

4) The Emerging Talent

Tim Hicks Boots and Hearts 2014 SaturdayIn years 1 through 4 we’ve seen some awesome emerging talent at Boots & Hearts. Tebey, Tim Hicks, Wes Mack, The Reklaws, Trinity Bradshaw, Runaway Angel, The James Barker Band, Eric Ethridge and more great acts have participated in the Sirius XM Emerging Artist Showcase. And we’ve seen acts like Sam Hunt, Dylan Scott, One More Girl, Danielle Bradbery, Jess Moskaluke and more hit the stage before they really became household names.

This year will be no different. With Cam, Jordan McIntosh, Cory Marquardt, Jojo Mason, and Jason Benoit already on the schedule we can promise that everyone is going to leave Boots & Hearts as a fan of someone they didn’t know you loved when you arrived.

5) The Surprises

BSOMF Tebey Sound of Music Festival-6595Every year something awesome happens at Boots & Hearts that wasn’t scheduled and we didn’t know about ahead of time. We’ve seen Dean Brody roll out, and Jim Cuddy & Greg Keelor played hits for us. Last year we saw Tebey show up to give us Wake Me Up with Emerson Drive and got a HUGE pop from the crowd. There’s always something hidden up the sleeves of the B&H team…

And we can’t wait to see what it’s going to be during the 5th Anniversary Celebration!

BandH Holiday Card 2016BONUS 1

The price point for Boots & Hearts 2016 tickets also makes them perfect for Christmas presents, Hanukkah presents, birthday presents… any kind of present really. AND groups of up to 8 people can share 1 camping site, which makes it super affordable for 4 nights of camping fun!

Boots and Hearts Koozie and Sunglasses thereivewsareinWe have some Boots & Hearts swag to give away as we all get ready for the holidays.
