Ty Baynton has been on our radar since we first came across him during the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Competition in 2014. And now he’s got a new single at country radio and we’ve got the world premiere of his brand new video for I’ll Never Know!
The Waterdown, Ontario native has a great country voice, he’s got a great attitude and he’s been spending some time honing his craft with some of the biggest names and festivals in country music.
Ty has performed with Blake Shelton, Chad Brownlee, Gord Bamford, High Valley, Hunter Hayes and Tim Hicks to name a few as well as taking the stage at Boots and Hearts, Manitoulin Country Fest and he’s played the stage at multiple RAM Rodeos.
We got a chance to ask Ty about the new video and here’s how it went.
Q. Can you tell us about the song? A bit about the story and the writing process?
TB: I co-wrote this song with a good friend of mine, Jordan Honsinger, from Cold Creek County. It’s about those relationships that end but you’re never given closure, are left wondering if they’re still thinking about you, if they miss you, etc., but know you’ll never know the answers to those questions.
TB: Shooting the music video was a lot of fun. We recorded it live at Dallas Nightclub in Kitchener and just went out and put on a show like we always do. It’s not the record version on the video, it was recorded that day as we played it, which for me is really cool. My band and I have spent years perfecting our live show and I wanted the fans to get a glimpse of that with this video.
Q. The song’s been available to fans for almost a month, how excited are you to have a new single out to radio?
TB: It’s been a long time coming and a lot of hard work so I am thrilled to finally be able to start sharing new music with everyone. There will be no shortage of it from me for years to come!
