Sutherland released his debut album, Down In A Hole, in 2016, and since then has been touring and playing the tracks, and new ones from the upcoming 2nd album, to country music fans all over. We caught him at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern last year, and to see him again this summer was an even more impressive sight.
It’s clear that Kiefer has a passion for his music, and he has put in the work to make himself a performer. The fans, they’ve noticed, and the crowd that gathered around the Front Porch stage to see his set sang along to singles, Can’t Stay Away and Not Enough Whiskey, as well as a cover of Dylan’s Knockin On Heaven’s Door.
Note: I have always loved the movie, The Cowboy Way with Kiefer Sutherland and Woody Harrelson, so to see Kiefer playing cowboy music now is kind of doubly awesome.
The more this singing, acting Canadian cowboy plays, the more people will listen. And with his follow up album already in the works, including a track called Saskatchewan, we know we’ll be hearing more from Kiefer Sutherland soon.
